Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s slashes to the budget included 20 fire companies – four in Queens – and tomorrow one of those engines plans to protest its closure.
The protest for Engine 306 in Bayside will take place at 40-18 214th Place in Bayside on Wednesday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. Councilmember Dan Halloran and numerous other elected officials will also be there.
