Men held up 7-11 with BB gun in Corona: Brown

CORONA — Two men have been arraigned on charges of robbery and possession of an imitation pistol last month after they allegedly held up a 7-11 in Corona, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

On May 13 between 3:30 a.m. and 3:50 a.m., Tal Katz, 25, of 106th Street and 50th Avenue in Corona, allegedly entered the convenience store, at 107-24 Corona Ave., with another man wearing a face mask, at which point they approached the employee, the DA said.

The masked man then allegedly placed what looked like a black handgun to the employee’s head and demanded money, after which he took some cash from the register, the DA said.

A surveillance video allegedly showed that Vlad Neceaeve, 17, of 99th Street and 63rd Avenue in Rego Park, was standing outside the 7-11 and put a face mask on before going inside, and that the two of them had walked in front of the 7-11 several times and that Katz had at one point entered the store before both of them went in, the DA said.

Police executed a search warrant at Katz’s house and found a black baretta BB gun, the DA said. Both Neceaeve and Katz confessed to the crime, the DA said.
