Art and Cultural Show at the South Queens Boys & Girls Club
The South Queens Boys & Girls Club will be hosting an Art and Cultural Show this Saturday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The club has been running a Saturday program for the past few months with the sponsorship of Councilmember Ruben Wills.
Wills will be in attendance when the children showcase their talents this Saturday at P.S. 155, 130-02 115th Avenues in South Ozone Park.

Autism Fundraiser Soiree
Play some foosball, ping pong and pool and help out a good cause.
Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) is hosting a soiree fundraiser on June 8 from 7-10 p.m. at the Slate Lounge on West 21st Street.
A casual affair, rather than a stuffy sit-down dinner, the soiree will feature an open bar, buffet, along with games to partake in.
The event will raise money for the services QSAC provides for persons with autism, ranging from preschool programs to residential group homes.

Mount Sinai Queens Health Fair
Who said a health fair couldn’t be fun?
On Saturday, June 4, Most Precious Blood Church will have Mount Sinai health professionals on site to give screenings, test and advice.
In addition to the complimentary weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings, bone density tests and nutrition counseling, there will be face painting, live entertainment, give-aways, balloons, music and refreshments.
The health fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Astoria Church.

Regents review on demand
School’s almost out for summer, but before kids can enjoy the weather many have to pass their Regents exam. Reviewing for these end of the year exams is now as easy as turning on your television.
Regents Review 2.0 is now available for free on Time Warner On-Demand Channel 1111. The series can also be viewed on WLIW Channel 21.
The shows, hosted by master teachers, are one hour in-depth reviews on 13 different Regents subjects. The subjects covered are Spanish, French, English, Italian, Integrated Algebra, Geometry, Algebra2/Trigonometry, Earth Science, Living Environment, Physics, Global History & Geography, US History & Government and Chemistry.

New York gas prices drop

Gas prices continued their downward trend this week coming in at $4.144 – six cents lower than a week ago, according to AAA’s fuel gauge report.
Today’s prices are ten cents lower than last month, but still over a dollar more than customers were paying at the pump this time last year.
The highest recorded gas prices in the city were recorded on July 16, 2008 when the price hit $4.411. The average gas price nationally is $3.78, down more than four cents from last week
