Howard Beach residents who want to do a little summer reading better check out a book before July 25.
The Howard Beach branch of the Queens Library will be closed that day and will not reopen until the end of August while the city installs a new roof.
During the construction, which will also continue once the library reopens, residents can get limited service from a book bus, which will be servicing the community Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For full library service, residents can travel to the two nearest branches: the Broad Channel branch at 16-26 Cross Bay Blvd. or the Ozone Park branch at 92-24 Rockaway Blvd.
