Judith A. Rafferty, three of whose nine children currently live in Queens, died July 11. She was 72.
She was born Feb. 21, 1939, in Spokane, Wash., and her family later moved to a farm in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where she grew up. She married James Rafferty April 9, 1959.
A registered nurse, she was employed as a unit manager for New York Blood Services. She was a former resident of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Saugerties, N.Y.
She is survived by her husband, nine children, sister, 20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral procession was held July 15 at Buono Funeral Service Inc., at 100 Main St. in Saugerties, which ended at St. Mary of the Snow, at 36 Cedar St. in Saugerties, where a mass was celebrated. She was interred at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, at 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville, N.Y.
