City Councilmember Eric Ulrich will not run in the special election of Anthony Weiner’s former Congressional seat – according to an interview the councilmember gave to Inside City Hall’s Errol Louis on NY1.
According to the interview, Ulrich said he has a “great job. He also said that after talking with family and friends, he decided it would be best to remain in the City Council. He also cited the possibility that the district will be lost to redistricting in 2012 as a main reason he decided not to run.
The special election for Weiner’s former congressional seat, as well as six assembly seats, will take place on September 13 – Primary Day.
