Boro post office robber left empty-handed

CORONA — Police have asked for the public’s help identifying and locating a man who robbed a Corona post office, according to police

A man wearing a yellow jersey with the number 28 on the back walked up to the counter at the U.S. Post Office branch, at 103-28 Roosevelt Ave., at about 1:05 p.m. July 19 and passed the teller a note demanding U.S. currency, police said.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot-3, partially balding black man in his 40s, was last seen wearing a yellow “Marshall Faulk” No. 28 jersey and blue jeans, then fled the post office empty-handed in an unknown direction, police said. Police have not identified the suspect but his image was caught on a security camera.
