Bus in Auburndale strikes pole to avoid hitting car

AUBURNDALE — A city bus heading east collided with a pole at 195th Street and Northern Boulevard late Monday afternoon after swerving to avoid a car, a witness said.

Karol Burgos, 53, said her 26-year-old son was injured along with two children and a woman.

The bus was not affected by the crash, officials at the scene said, but the car was towed away with windshield and hood damages.
