If you’re ever lost on an MTA bus in Queens, make sure to find someone with an iPhone.
Roadify, which is a free iPhone application that unites transit schedules and official alerts with reports from riders, has updated its service to include every bus line in Queens.
Along with mapping out the bus routes, the enhancement will now allow commuters to accurately predict a bus’ arrival and learn about existing problems from other riders.
“We received a bunch of emails and tweets from our users asking ‘What about the Queens buses?’,” said Roadify designer Brian Bush. “Now we have a positive answer for them.”
Roadify, which worked with the MTA when creating the new update, now covers buses in all five boroughs and Long Island, the subway system, traffic and parking.
However, the application is available only to iPhone users, meaning every commuter who lacks the costly phone will remain in the dark while riding buses in Queens.
