Rikers inmate sues over pain from spider bite

RIKERS ISLAND — A drug dealer is suing Rikers Island after its medical staff allegedly misdiagnosed a debilitating spider bite he suffered while incarcerated at the prison, according to the New York Post.

Ainsley Waddell suffered from a severe allergic reaction after being bitten by a spider while at Rikers and was left with swelling and pain throughout his body, according to a Post review of papers filed in Bronx Supreme Court.

Waddell is seeking unspecified monetary damages in connection with the incident, the Post reported.
