Foot of baby cops now identify as bear’s paw

ROSEDALE — Police were looking for clues into the mystery surrounding a bear’s foot that was discovered near the trash at a man’s home.

Officers and medical examiners were called to a house on 139th Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Sunday after the owner called 911 when he found the appendage, police said.

At first it was believed to have been a foot belonging to a baby, but medical examiners determined that it actually belonged to a bear, police said.

The homeowner could not be reached for comment.
