Hercules, the French bulldog, is the winner of the TimesLedger Newspapers’ first Queens Critter contest. His owner is Afrodite Pogiatzis of Astoria. Pogiatzis said the 1-year-old pup is a “sweet boy.”

We want to see more of your furry and hairless friends at play, at work and just hanging out with their own crowd. All kinds of pets from felines to canines to equines are welcome.
To enter, simply e-mail a photo of your pet to QueensCritters@gmail.com. In the future, please include the name and age of your pet, the name of the owner and what neighborhood you are from.
By sending a photo, you acknowledge that we may us it in the paper, on our website, and otherwise in accordance with our Terms of Use. Your photo may be included in an on-line gallery on the www.TimesLedger.com website.
Each week, our editors will select at least one photo to be published in the TimesLedger newspaper. Photos that violate our Terms of Use will not be accepted or considered for publication. The materials that you send will not be returned.
