Queens Borough President Helen Marshall and the Big Brothers Big Sisters organziation teamed up to celebrate Mentoring Day in Queens last Monday, Jan. 30. As noted, the event was part of National Mentoring Month, a recruiting effort to inspire individuals to volunteer as mentors to children in need of positive role models. During the event at Borough Hall in Kew Gardens, Big Sister Tippy Latnhotha (at right) along with her “Little Sister” Stephanie were honored by Marshall with a certificate.
