No injuries were reported after a one-alarm fire scorched an Astoria home early last Saturday morning, Feb. 18, it was reported. According to Fire Department sources, the blaze broke out at around 2:30 a.m. in the basement of a home located in the vicinity of 30th Street and 31st Avenue. Members of Engine companies 312, 316, 325 and 259; Ladder companies 117 and 128, Squad Co. 28, Rescue 4 and Battalion 46 responded to the scene (in the order of their arrival), under the direction of Division 12; officers from the 114th Precinct and EMS units also responded to the blaze. One hose line was used by firefighters to extinguish the flames, said an FDNY source.
