No Weekend L Trains Bet. Bk., Manhattan

L train service will be suspended between Broadway Junction and Eighth Avenue this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27. This service change will also be in effect the following weekend between Saturday, Mar. 3, and Monday, Mar. 5.

During this period, L trains will continue to operate between Rockaway Parkway and Broadway Junction.

As an alternate, M train service will be extended into Manhattan operating between Metropolitan Avenue/ Middle Village and 57th Street. Manhattan-bound M trains will operate on Saturday from 6 a.m. until midnight and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. Middle Village-bound M trains will depart from 57th Street in Manhattan on Saturday from 6:45 a.m. until 12:50 a.m. the following morning and on Sunday from 8:50 a.m. until 11:45 p.m.

Free shuttle bus service will also provide alternate service to stations along the L line. There will be three sets of shuttle buses, each connecting to active subway lines.

One shuttle bus line will operate between Broadway Junction (which connects to the A and C lines) and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues (which connects to the extended M train). The second shuttle bus will operate between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and Lorimer Street (which connects to the G train) and the third shuttle bus will operate between Lorimer Street and Bedford Avenue, then stop at the Hewes Street and Marcy Avenue stations on the J and M lines for connections to both trains.

Riders can transfer between shuttle buses at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and Lorimer Street to continue their trip.

The shuttle buses will stop at locations near the following L train stations:

– Broadway Junction-on Fulton Street at Van Sinderen Avenue (transfer to the A, C, J and L trains);

– Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen Street-on Bushwick Avenue at De- Sales Place (to Broadway Junction) or at Aberdeen Street (to Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues);

– Wilson Avenue-on Cooper Avenue at Wilson Avenue (to Broadway Junction) or on Decatur Street at Wilson Avenue (to Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues);

– Halsey Street-on Wyckoff Avenue at Weirfield Street;

– Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenue (transfer available to the M train)-on Palmetto Street at Wyckoff Avenue (for shuttle bus service to Broadway Junction) or on Wyckoff Avenue at Myrtle Avenue (for shuttle bus service to Lorimer Street);

– DeKalb Avenue-on Wyckoff Avenue at DeKalb Avenue;

– Jefferson Street-on Wyckoff Avenue at Starr Street;

– Morgan Avenue-on Morgan Avenue at Harrison Place (to Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues) or on Harrison Place at Morgan Avenue (to Lorimer Street);

– Montrose Avenue-on Bushwick Avenue at Montrose Avenue;

– Grand Street-on Bushwick Avenue at Grand Street;

– Graham Avenue-on Metropolitan Avenue at Graham Avenue;

– Lorimer Street (transfer available to the G train)-on Union Avenue at Metropolitan Avenue (for the shuttle bus to the Marcy Avenue J/M station) or on Metropolitan Avenue at Union Avenue (for the shuttle bus to the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues station);

– Bedford Avenue-on Driggs Avenue at North Seventh Street;

– Hewes Street (transfer to the J and M trains)-on Broadway at Hooper Street; and

– Marcy Avenue (transfer to the J and M trains)-on Broadway at Marcy Avenue.

‘Fastrack’ Repairs Affect F, M Trains

Overnight repairs on the B, D, F and M lines in Manhattan as part of the MTA’s “Fastrack” program will result in changes on the F and M trains in Queens and Brooklyn during late nights this week, it was announced.

M train service Myrtle Avenue- Broadway in Brooklyn and 71st-Continental Avenue in Forest Hills will end early on Monday, Feb. 27, through Thursday, Mar. 1. Each evening, the last Forest Hills-bound train will depart Myrtle Avenue- Broadway at 9:54 p.m., while the last Middle Village-bound M train will depart 71st-Continental Avenues at 9:35 p.m. M trains will operate their normal late-night shuttle service between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue Broadway.

As a result, E trains will run local service in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71st-Continental Avenues on Monday through Thursday from 10 p.m. until midnight. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

M train riders can transfer to the J train at Myrtle Avenue-Broadway for service to Manhattan. For service to stations served by the M line in Manhattan between 10 p.m. and midnight on weeknights, transfer from the J train to the F train at Essex Street. For service to Forest Hills, transfer from the F train to the E train at West Fourth Street.

Additionally, F trains will run on the E line between Roosevelt Avenue and West Fourth Street on Monday through Friday, Mar. 2, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. During this period, Q trains will run on the F line between 57th Street and 21st Street-Queensbridge, making stops at the Roosevelt Island and Lexington Avenue-63rd Street stations along the way.

For service to the 21st Street- Queensbridge from Queens, depart the F train at Queens Plaza and connect to a free shuttle bus to the 21st Street-Queensbridge station, where a transfer to the Q train will be available.

Additional Subway Service Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Feb. 22. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

No Weekend 7 Trains Bet. Qns. & Manhattan

There will be no 7 train service between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27. During this period, 7 trains will operate between Queensboro Plaza and Main Street-Flushing.

For service between Queens and Manhattan transfer from the 7 train to the N train at either Queensboro Plaza or Times Square or the E train at 74th Street. It was noted that alternate N trains will run between Ditmars Boulevard and 34th Street-Herald Square on Saturday and Monday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.; these trains will skip the 49th Street station.

During this time period, free shuttle buses will provide alternate service along the 7 line between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard Jackson Avenue. These buses will additionally stop at Queens Plaza for E train service.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Avenue;

– Queens Plaza-on Jackson Avenue at Queens Plaza South;

– Court Square-23rd Street-on 44th Drive at 23rd Street (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or on 23rd Street at 44th Drive (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue- on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Court Sq. Station Is Closed On 7 Train

The Court Square station on the 7 line remains closed at all times in both directions through 5 a.m. Monday, Apr. 2, due to a capital improvement project.

For service to this station, take the E or M train to Court Square-23rd Street or the 7 train to Hunters Point Avenue or Queensboro Plaza.

To transfer between the 7 and G trains, use the free out-of-system transfer between the Hunters Point Avenue stop on the 7 line and the 21st Street station on the G line.

Weekday Express On J Line In Brooklyn

Jamaica Center-bound J trains will operate express service between Myrtle Avenue and Broadway Junction on Thursday, Feb. 23, and Friday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

For service to the Kosciuszko Street, Gates Avenue, Halsey Street and Chauncey Street stations, take the J train to Broadway Junction, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J train. For service from these stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train.

During this period, all J trains will board at Broadway Junction from the Manhattan-bound platform.

No Late Night Local On E Train In Qns.

Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run express service between Roosevelt Avenue and 71st-Continental Avenue on Friday, Feb. 24, and Tuesday, Feb. 28, through Friday, Mar. 2, from 12:30 until 5 a.m.

For service to the Elmhurst Avenue, Grand Avenue, Woodhaven Boulevard, 63rd Drive and 67th Avenue stations, take the E train to 71st- Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train.

Stations Skipped On E, F Lines Overnights

Manhattan-bound E and F trains will skip the Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue stations on Friday, Feb. 24, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. During this period, Manhattan-bound F trains will also skip the Sutphin Boulevard station.

For service to these stations, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Union Turnpike or Jamaica- Van Wyck-or the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard-and then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or F train.

Late Night Switch Of Lines For E, M Trains

E and M trains will operate on parts of the F line between Queens and Manhattan on Thursday, Feb. 23, and Friday, Feb. 24, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Manhattan-bound E trains will run on the F line between 36th Street and West Fourth Street, then resume normal service to World Trade Center. Queens-bound E trains will run on the F line from West Fourth Street to 21st Street-Queensbridge, then resume normal service to Jamaica Center.

Meanwhile, M trains will run on the F line in both directions between 36th Street in Queens and 47th-50th Streets in Manhattan on Thursday from 10 p.m. until midnight.

For service to the Queens Plaza or Court Square-23rd Street stations, transfer to the R train at Roosevelt Avenue or 34th Street-Herald Square or the 7 train at 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue (depart at the Queensboro Plaza station, which is located near the Court Square and Queens Plaza stations).

No Weekend A Trains To Far Rockaway

Service on the A line will be suspended between Broad Channel and Far Rockaway this weekend, from 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, until 4:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27. During this period, A trains will instead replace the Rockaway Park Shuttle line between Broad Channel and Rockaway Park.

Shuttle buses will replace A train service between Broad Channel and Far Rockaway and will make all stops, including Beach 25th Street, Beach 36th Street, Beach 44th Street, Beach 60th Street, Beach 67th Street and Beach 90th Street. Riders can transfer between the shuttle buses and the A train at Beach 90th Street.
