Exhibitors, Volunteers Sought
Arts in Bushwick has begun planning for its sixth annual Bushwick Open Studios event, which will be held from June 1- 3 at sites throughout Bushwick, Ridgewood and surrounding areas.
The organization has announced a kickoff meeting on Thursday, Mar. 15 (today) at 8 p.m. at Brooklyn Fire Proof East, located at 119 Ingraham St., for prospective participants and volunteers.
Artist registration for the festival will open on Apr. 1.
Last year’s festival featured over 350 separate events at sites throughout Bushwick, Ridgewood, East Williamsburg and Bedford- Stuyvesant.
The group announced that it is seeking volunteers to handle organizing, neighborhood outreach, press and sponsor relations, print and Web design and Spanish translation.
It is also creating a Bushwick All- Stars program, which will reward those who spend 10 or more hours volunteering with special recognition in the BOS program and online directory.
