Three firefighters and a resident were injured after a three-alarm fire broke out inside a four-story apartment house in Bushwick last Wednesday afternoon, Mar. 14, it was reported. Fire Department sources said the blaze ignited at around 3:10 p.m. in the vicinity of Evergreen Avenue and Himrod Street; reportedly, the flames quickly spread throughout all four floors of the structure. More than 50 Fire Department units from Brooklyn and Queens responded to the scene along with the 83rd Precinct and EMS units. The injured firefighters and resident were brought to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening. Four hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, said an FDNY source.
