Set To Eye 3 Sidewalk Café Licenses
Three sidewalk café applications and a visit from a United Federation of Teachers (UFT) representative will highlight the next meeting of Community Board 2, which has been moved to Thursday, Apr. 12 to accommodate Holy Thursday.
At the meeting, to be held at Sunnyside Community Services, Board 2 will debate licenses for a 15-table/30- seat unenclosed café for Sean Og, at 60-02 Woodside Ave. in Woodside; an eight-table/16-seat unenclosed café for Bucharest Restaurant, at 43·45 40th St. in Sunnyside; and an 11-table/22-seat unenclosed café for Claret’s Wine Bar, at 46-02 Skillman Ave. in Sunnyside.
Also scheduled to make appearances are Dermot Smyth of the UFT and 108th Precinct Capt. Terry O’Toole, the precinct’s executive officer, as well as reports from Chairperson Joseph Conley and the heads of Board 2’s various committees.
A public forum is held at the start of the meeting; residents can sign up to speak before the meeting’s 7 p.m. start time and are given three minutes to address the board.
