Sunnyside/Woodside Parade Planned For Mar. 4

The 13th Annual St. Pat’s for All parade will wind through the streets of Sunnyside and Woodside on Sunday, Mar. 4.

Last year’s St. Pat’s For All Parade wound through the streets of Woodside and Sunnyside. This year’s parade is planned for Mar. 4.

Parade-goers will assemble at 1 p.m. at Skillman Avenue and 47th Street and begin marching at 2 p.m.

From there, the parade will head east on Skillman Avenue to 56th Street, turn north to Woodside Avenue, then head east to 58th Street.

To accommodate the parade, police will prohibit parking along those streets prior to the parade. Any cars found parked along the route will be towed away by the NYPD at the owner’s expense.

To get to the parade, take the 7 train to 46th Street.

The parade prides itself on its diveristy, offering LGBT contingents, community groups, children’s bands, Irish organizations and religious and civic groups a chance to participate.

The parade will pay tribute to two members of the Irish-American community: political historian and novelist Peter Quinn, author of the book “The Man Who Never Returned,” and Mary Brosnahan. executive director of The Coalition for the Homeless.
