Crossing Guards Thanked for Service

Several local crossing guards were honored by Assemblyman Mike Miller at a ceremony held last Monday, Apr. 2, at the American Legion Brewery Keenan Heisser Post 1815 in Glendale. The guards, who are each assigned to schools within the confines of the 104th Precinct, were recognized for their years of service and dedication. Among the honorees were Linda Bock, assigned to Sacred Heart School and P.S. 113 in Glendale; Adriana Chu, assigned to P.S. 239 and I.S. 77 in Ridgewood; Rosemary Bernal, assigned to Sacred Heart School and P.S. 113; and Debra Lynch, assigned to P.S. 91 and St. Pancras School in Glendale. Among those on hand for the ceremony were Capt. Michael Cody, commanding officer of the 104th Precinct; P.O. Tony Jimenez of the 104th Precinct Community Affairs Unit; Community Board 5 District Manager Gary Giordano and Kiwanis Club of Glendale President Kenneth Dunn.
