Police on the hunt for man in 3 boro robberies

FOREST HILLS — Police were looking for a man suspected of robbing three Chase banks in western Queens earlier this year.

The NYPD describes the man as black, in his 30s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and about 180 pounds. When last seen, he wore tinted eye glasses, a black knit hat, a brown sweatshirt with a hood and white cotton gloves with red plastic along the palms, police said.

The man first hit the bank, at 69-55 Grand Ave. in Maspeth, Feb. 4 at 12:20 p.m., entering the establishment and handing a note to the teller demanding cash, police said.

After receiving the money, the man ran away, police said.

The culprit followed the same pattern March 16 at 10:43 a.m. at a Chase Bank, at 57-02 99th St. in Corona, and March 24 at 11:35 a.m. at 99-00 Metropolitan Ave. in Forest Hills, police said.
