Tax Prep Event Pays Off In Ozone Pk.

Over 30 residents took part in a free tax preparation event sponsored by State Sen. Joseph Addabbo (at left) held on Mar. 16, at the Majestic Marquis in Ozone Park. As noted, trained volunteers from the City University of New York and Food Bank for New York City prepared federal and state income taxes for qualified applicants. Nearly $14,000 in total refunds were obtained by these preparers for the taxpayers, according to Addabbo.
