Weekend Work Shuts J Line Bet. Bk., Qns.

J train service will be suspended between Crescent Street and Jamaica Center this weekend, from 6 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 21, until 10 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 22.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service between Crescent Street and 121st Street and connect to the Jamaica-Van Wyck station for E train service. J trains will operate between Crescent Street and Chambers Street in Manhattan.

The shuttle buses will stop near J train stations as follows:

– Crescent Street-on Fulton Street at Crescent Street;

– Cypress Hills-at the B13 bus stop on Jamaica Avenue at Hemlock Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or on Crescent Street at Jamaica Avenue (to Crescent Street station);

– 75th Street-Elderts Lane-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 75th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or at Dexter Court (to Crescent Street);

– 85th Street-Forest Parkway-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 85th Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or at 86th Street (to Crescent Street);

– Woodhaven Boulevard-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at Woodhaven Boulevard;

– 104th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 104th Street;

– 111th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 111th Street;

– 121st Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 121st Street; and

– Jamaica-Van Wyck-on the Van Wyck Expressway service road at 89th Avenue.

Additional Subway Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Apr. 18. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

‘Fastrack’ Repairs Will Affect A, E, M Trains

Overnight repairs on the A, C and E lines in Manhattan as part of the MTA’s “Fastrack” program will result in changes on the A, E and M trains in Queens and Brooklyn during late nights on Monday, Apr. 23, through Friday, Apr. 27 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. it was announced.

M train service between Myrtle Avenue-Broadway in Brooklyn and 71st-Continental Avenue in Forest Hills will end early on Monday through Thursday, Apr. 26. The last Forest Hills-bound train will depart Myrtle Avenue-Broadway at 9:50 p.m., while the last Middle Villagebound M train will depart 71st-Continental Avenues at 9:35 p.m.

After those trains depart their respective points, M trains will operate its normally-scheduled late night shuttle service between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.

As a result, E trains will run local service in both directions between 71st-Continental Avenues and Broadway Lafayette Street during this period. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

M train riders can transfer to the J train at Myrtle Avenue-Broadway for service to Manhattan. For service to stations served by the M line in Manhattan between 10 p.m. and midnight, transfer from the J train to the F train at Essex Street. For service to Forest Hills, transfer from the F train to the E train at West Fourth Street.

E train service will operate as normal between Jamaica Center and 71st- Continental Avenues, then run as a local between 71st-Continental Avenues and Fifth Avenue-53rd Street. From there, the E train will run on the M line between Fifth Avenue-53rd Street and 47th-50th Streets, then on the F line between 47th-50th Streets and Second Avenue, which will be the last stop.

A train service will operate between 207th Street and Lefferts Boulevard or Far Rockaway via the local line between 168th Street and 59th Street-Columbus Circle, on the D line between 59th Street-Columbus Circle and 34th Street-Herald Square on the F line between 34th Street-Herald Square and Jay Street-MetroTech. C trains will not operate.

Weekday Express On J Line In Brooklyn

Jamaica Center-bound J trains will operate express service between Myrtle Avenue and Broadway Junction on Thursday, Apr. 19, and Friday, Apr. 20, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

For service to the Kosciuszko Street, Gates Avenue, Halsey Street and Chauncey Street stations, take the J train to Broadway Junction, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J train. For service from these stations, take the J train to Myrtle Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train.

During this period, all J trains will board at Broadway Junction from the Manhattan-bound platform.

Some Bklyn.-Bound L Trains End At Myrtle

The last stop for select Rockaway Parkway-bound L trains will be Myrtle Wyckoff Avenues on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Friday, May 11. Riders can transfer between L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue their trip.

It was noted that L train service between Rockaway Parkway and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues will operate every 12 minutes. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly.

Service Disruptions Return On 7 Train

Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 82nd Street, 90th Street, 103rd Street and 111th Street stations on Tuesday, Apr. 24, and Wednesday, Apr. 25, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or Mets-Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or 74th Street, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train.

During this time period, it was noted that all trains at the Junction Boulevard station will board at the Manhattan-bound platform.

Weekend Shutdown Affects The G Line

G train service will be suspended between Court Square and Bedford- Nostrand Avenues this weekend, from 11 p.m. Friday, Apr. 20, until 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 21. G trains will continue to operate between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Church Avenue.

Shuttle buses will make all G station stops in place of G train service; these shuttle buses will additional stop at 21st Street-Queensbridge to connect riders to the E or F train and Queens Plaza for connections to the R train.

Riders can transfer between the shuttle buses and the G train at Bedford Nostrand Avenues.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– 21st Street-Queensbridge-at the Q66 bus stop on 21st Street and 41st Avenue;

– Queens Plaza-at B62 bus stops on Jackson Avenue at Queens Boulevard (to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues) or at Orchard Street (to 21st Street- Queensbridge);

– Court Square-at B62 bus stops on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues), Thomson Avenue (to 21st Street- Queensbridge) and 23rd Street.

– 21st Street-on Jackson Avenue at 47th Avenue (to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues) or the B62 bus stop on Jackson Avenue at 21st Street (to Court Square);

– Greenpoint Avenue-at the B24 bus stop on Manhattan Avenue at Greenpoint Avenue (to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues) or the B43 bus stop on Greenpoint Avenue at Leonard Street (to Court Square);

– Nassau Avenue-at the B62 bus stop on Manhattan Avenue at Nassau Avenue (to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues) or the B43 bus stop on Bedford Avenue at Manhattan Avenue (to Court Square);

– Metropolitan Avenue-at Q59 bus stops on Union Avenue at Metropolitan Avenue (connection available to the L train);

– Broadway-on Union Avenue at Broadway;

– Flushing Avenue-on Lee Avenue at Flushing Avenue (to Bedford- Nostrand Avenues) or the B44 bus stop on Union Avenue at Gerry Street (to Court Square);

– Myrtle-Willoughby Avenues- at the B44 bus stop on Nostrand Avenue and Myrtle Avenue (to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues) or on Marcy Avenue at Myrtle Avenue (to Court Square); and

– Bedford-Nostrand Avenues-at the B38 bus stop on Lafayette Avenue at Nostrand Avenue.

Weekend, Late Night Express On E, R Lines

Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run express service between Roosevelt Avenue and 71st-Continental Avenues on Friday, Apr. 20, from 12:30 until 5 a.m.; and late nights this weekend from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 21, until 5 a.m. Monday, Apr. 23.

Additionally, Forest Hills-bound R trains will run express service between Roosevelt Avenue and 71st- Continental Avenues throughout the weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

For service to the Elmhurst Avenue, Grand Avenue, Woodhaven Boulevard, 63rd Drive and 67th Avenue stations, take the E or R train to 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or R train. For service from these stations, take the E or R train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica Center bound E train or a Forest Hills-bound R train.

Weekend, Late Night Switches On E & M

E trains will run on the F line in both directions between 36th Street in Queens and West Fourth Street in Manhattan this weekend, on Thursday, Apr. 19, and Friday, Apr. 20, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.; and this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 21, until 5 a.m. Monday, Apr. 23.

Manhattan-bound E trains will resume regular service after West Fourth Street, while Jamaica Centerbound E trains will resume regular E train service after 21st Street- Queensbridge.

Additionally, M trains will run on the F line in both directions between 36th Street in Queens and 47th-50th Streets in Manhattan on Thursday from 10 p.m. until midnight. Forest Hills-bound M trains will resume regular service at 36th Street and Middle Village-bound M trains will resume regular service at 47th-50th Streets.

To reach the Queens Plaza or Court Square-23rd Street stations, take the R train during weekdays and evenings or the 7 train, which can be picked up at either Roosevelt Avenue or Fifth Avenue-42nd Street.

Stations Skipped On E, F Lines In Queens

Manhattan-bound E and F trains will skip the Van Wyck Boulevard station on Friday, Apr. 20, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. During this period, Manhattan bound F trains will also skip the 75th Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard stations.

For service to these stations, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Union Turnpike or Jamaica- Van Wyck-or the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard-and then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or F train.
