MARILYN K. CZERWINSKI died on Monday, May 14, at the age of 73. She was the wife of the late Walter C. Czerwinski, loving mother of Laura Czerwinski (Stuart), Marie DiStefano and Linda Czerwinski, mother-in-law of Leonard DiStefano and William Berg, cherished grandmother of Brianna, Lenny and Melissa and dear sister of Emily Denig. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday, May 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Middle Village, followed by interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ANTHONY L. CALDERONE died on Friday, May 4, at Martin Hospital South in Stuart, Fla. at the age of 91. Born in Brooklyn, Calderone moved to Stuart from Queens in 1991. He retired from Standard Folding Trays after 40 years of employment and was a member of Folding Box Corrugated Box and Display Workers Union Local 381 of theAFL-CIO. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound, Fla., and was a bowler for over 60 years, including membership with a number of leagues at Stuart Lanes in Florida. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Calderone of Stuart; son Richard and his wife, Jean Calderone, of Stuart; daughter-in-law Helen Calderone of Stuart and grandchildren Donald Calderone Jr., Joseph Calderone, Kimberly Calderone and Andrew Calderone. He was preceded in death by his son Donald Calderone in May 2010. A Memorial Mass was offered on Friday, May 11, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound; burial will be at a later date at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Homes-Young & Prill Chapel, Stuart, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.

FRANK MANTEL of East Hampton, L.I., formerly of Glendale, died on Thursday, May 10, at the age of 81. A native of Gottschee, Yugoslavia, he was the devoted brother of Emma Stalzer, Stephanie Morscher, Maria Doren and Robert Mantel and loving great-uncle of Ronald Stalzer, Ed Stalzer, John Stalzer, Stefanie Roemer, Richard Morscher, Andrew Doren and Kristen Mantel. He is also survived by 12 great-nieces and nephews and was the former owner of Mantel and Doren Collision. AMass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Pancras Church, Glendale, followed by interment at Cypress Hills Cemetery, under the direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

CHHUNJEY died on Wednesday, May 9, at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Pemba, loving father of Sonam Dama, Dawa Tshering and Tshering Doma, cherished grandfather of Tenzin Kalsang, Dhondup Dolma, Kalsang Chokey and Tashi Wangdu, great-grandfather of Tenzin, Pema, Chokey and Jimmy and great-great grandfather of Tenzin Tsephel. Services were offered on Friday, May 11, at Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village.

TONIA ROSE SPERANZA died on Thursday, May 3, in Zephyrhills, Fla. at the age of 67. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth and cherished sister of James Daniel and John Piskura. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, May 9, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

JOHN GALJANICH died on Saturday, May 12, at the age of 73. He was the beloved husband of Wanda Galjanich, loving father of Albert Galjanich and John Galjanich, father-in-law of Michelle and Dianne, cherished grandfather of Matthew and Ella, dear brother of Marija Lux and devoted son-in-law of Jean Marculewicz. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, May 16, at Holy Cross Church, Maspeth, followed by entombment at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ANNA ELSTROTH of Glendale died on Saturday, May 12, at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late John and devoted mother of Irene Frank, Lorraine Velnezia and the late Marion Ryan and Thomas Schaefer. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, May 15, at St. Pancras Church, Glendale, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Glendale Walsh-LaBella and Son Funeral Home, 70-17 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

AVRAM TERZEU of Sunnyside died on Saturday, May 12, at the age of 88. A native of Timisora, Romania, he was the beloved husband of Brindusa, devoted father of Ioan Terzeu and dear brother of Cornel Terzeu. He is also survived by two grandchildren. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, by Rev. Levi Marin, followed by interment at Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood.

ANDREW J. PEKLE of Ridgewood died on Thursday, May 10, at the age of 88. A native of Brooklyn, he was the husband of the late Adele, devoted father of Laura Viola, Daniel Pekle and Karen Pekle and loving grandfather of Danielle Pekle, Christopher Pekle, Matthew Viola, Nicholas Viola and Steven Viola. He was also a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village.

ERIKA VON DEN DRIESCH died on Monday, May 14, at the age of 84. She was a native of Germany and an art teacher. A private cremation was held at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, N.J., under the direction of Seneca Chapels, 494 Seneca Ave., Ridgewood.
