Law enforcement agents are asking for the public’s help in tracking down two men who invaded a Forest Hills apartment at gunpoint earlier this month. According to police, the attempted robbery took place at around 11:40 p.m. on the night of May 8 at an undisclosed location within the confines of the 112th Precinct. Reportedly, the two male suspects-one described as caucasian or Hispanic, the other as African-American-knocked on the door, which was then answered by a 26-year-old man. Police said the perpetrators yelled at the victim; after one of the suspects displayed a firearm, the pair pushed their way into the victim’s apartment and demanded money. After the victim yelled and screamed, authorities noted, the crooks fled from the scene. Officers from the 112th Precinct responded to the scene; the victim was not injured. Anyone with any information regarding the home invasion or the suspects’ whereabouts that could prove helpful is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-577-TIPS, by text message to 274637 (enter information, then the code TIP577) or online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com. All calls and messages will be kept confidential.
