Suspects Sought For Ozone Pk. Caper
Several residents at an Ozone Park home got a rude awakening by three unidentified bandits who invaded their residence and robbed them early last Saturday morning, May 27, police reported.
Authorities said the trouble began at around 3:35 a.m., when three unidentified males broke into a home located on 101st Avenue between 100th and 101st streets.
Once inside, law enforcement sources stated, the perpetrators woke up and confronted a number of residents inside, displaying firearms and demanding money.
After taking an undisclosed sum of cash and jewelry, police noted, the armed robbers fled from the scene in an unknown direction.
Members of the 102nd Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. None of the victims were seriously injured.
Police conducted a search of the surrounding area for the suspects involved in the caper; despite their efforts, it was noted, no immediate arrests were made.
The case was presented to the 102nd Precinct Detective Squad for further investigation, authorities said.
