City Council Member Karen Koslowitz recently helped students at P.S. 139 cut the ribbon on the Rego Park school’s brand new playground. As noted, the project was completed with $450,000 in discretionary funds allocated by Koslowitz. The recent ribbon-cutting ceremony included a performance by the P.S. 139 choir and a recital of poetry by students. The lawmaker is shown at the ceremony with P.S. 139 Principal Monica Bridget Powers-Meade.
