New Playground at Rego Park School

City Council Member Karen Koslowitz recently helped students at P.S. 139 cut the ribbon on the Rego Park school’s brand new playground. As noted, the project was completed with $450,000 in discretionary funds allocated by Koslowitz. The recent ribbon-cutting ceremony included a performance by the P.S. 139 choir and a recital of poetry by students. The lawmaker is shown at the ceremony with P.S. 139 Principal Monica Bridget Powers-Meade.
