St. Pancras School in Glendale held its annual John Palmato Jr. Golf Outing fund-raiser last Monday, May 21, at Clearview Golf Course in Douglaston. The event, named in honor of John Palmato Jr., a St. Pancras student who died in 2005 after a long battle with leukemia, was followed by a luncheon in St. Pancras’ auditorium. During the luncheon, volunteer Robert Schoemig was recognized with proclamations from local elected officials for organizing the annual golf outing and raising over $120,000. Schoemig (third from right) is shown along with Democratic District Leader Frank Kotnik, who represented State Sen. Joseph Addabbo at the event; Nick Roloson, chief-of-staff to Assemblyman Mike MIller; John Palmato Sr., Linda Palmato and Elizabeth Palmato and Kate Mooney, a representative of City Council Member Elizabeth Crowley.
