MASPETH — The NYPD was looking for help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for a bank robbery that occurred within the 108th Precinct, police said.
According to police, a 6-foot black man in his 40s walked into the Chase Bank, at 54-12 48th St. in Maspeth, around 2 p.m. May 30 and handed one teller a note demanding money. Police also said the note stated he had a firearm.
The suspect then revealed a silver and black firearm, police said, before the teller handed him an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled westbound on 54th Avenue, police said.
Officers described the man as wearing a light blue shirt, jeans, a black baseball hat and sunglasses.
