Firefighters rushed to a Corona home last Thursday morning, June 14, to put out a blaze that consumed two garages and spread to a nearby residence, it was reported. According to Fire Department sources, the one-alarm fire ignited at around 11:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 103rd Street and 37th Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 292, 263, 289, 316 and 307; Ladder companies 129, 138, 151 and 136; Squad companies 270 and 288; Rescue 4 and Battalions 46 and 52-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 115th Precinct and EMS units. No injuries were reported.
