An alleged drunk driver was cuffed by police for his role in a three-vehicle accident along the westbound lanes of the Jackie Robinson Parkway in Glendale early last Saturday morning, June 16, which left four people injured. Fire Department sources said the crash took place at around 4 a.m. along the parkway near Myrtle Avenue. Members of the 102nd and 104th precincts, NYPD Emergency Services Unit 10, Engine companies 286 and 294, Ladder companies 135 and 143 and Battalion 51 responded to the scene. The injured motorists were removed by medivac and paramedics to local hospitals for treatment of injuries which were not considered life-threatening. The alleged drunk driver was collared by police following questions; his identity was not disclosed.
