Last Friday’s (June 22) severe thunderstorm reportedly sparked a transformer fire on top of a utility pole on a Corona street, sources reported. The fire reportedly ignited at around 3:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 108th Street and 38th Avenue. Firefighters and police officers closed nearby streets while responding to the incident.
