Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly congratulated Sgt. Kevin Brennan of the Brooklyn North Anti- Crime Team on his promotion to sergeant during a ceremony last Friday, June 29, at One Police Plaza in Manhattan. Brennan was shot in the head on Jan. 31 while pursuing an armed suspect at the Bushwick Houses. The perpetrator was caught several hours after the shooting, and Brennan soon made a recovery. After being promoted to detective following the incident, Brennan achieved the rank of sergeant through a competitive exam.
