Fifteen firefighters and three residents were hospitalized after a four-alarm fire broke out inside a Richmond Hill home and spread to two neighboring structures last Thursday afternoon, July 5, FDNY sources said. Reportedly, the inferno ignited at around 5:10 p.m. inside a three-story home located in the vicinity of 112th Street and 107th Avenue; the flames then jumped over two nearby homes. More than 50 Fire Department units rushed to the scene along with the 106th Precinct and EMS units. The injured firefighters and residents were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening. Eight hose lines, in all, were used by FDNY units to bring the blaze under control, it was reported.
