Firefighters raced to a Maspeth laundromat on Tuesday morning, July 10, after a one-alarm fire broke out inside the business, it was reported. According to FDNY sources, the blaze ignited at around 8:35 a.m. on Grand Avenue near 74th Street. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Squad companies 288 and 270; Engine companies 287, 319 and 292; Ladder companies 136, 140 and 138; Rescue 4 and Battalions 46 and 28-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries. One hose line was used by firefighters to extinguish the blaze, an FDNY source said.
