During their June meeting, the Kiwanis Club Queens West Division presented a special Mother’s Day Zeller Fellowship Award to Tina DiTroia, president of the Kiwanis Club of Middle Village, for her support of “Project Eliminate.” As noted, the Kiwanis International initiative aims to provide the tetanus vaccine to children in third-world countries where the life-saving medication is scarce, if available at all. Tina DiTroia’s husband, J.P. DiTroia, who serves as the Project Eliminate Ambassador for the Queens West Division, had the honor of presenting her with the award.
