Police investigate death of Far Rockaway teen

FAR ROCKAWAY — A Far Rockaway man was shot and killed last weekend, the NYPD said.

According to the NYPD, police responded to a report of a person shot in the vicinity of Beach 29th Street and Seagirt Boulevard Friday around 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Shawn Plummer with a gunshot wound to his head before EMS transported him to St. John’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no arrests made in connection with shooting and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
