No injuries were reported after a one-alarm fire ignited inside an Astoria residence on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 26, it was reported. According to FDNY sources, the blaze broke out at around 1:30 p.m. on the second floor of a dwelling in the vicinity of 71st Street and Astoria Boulevard. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 263, 312, 307, 262 and 325; Ladder companies 117, 154, 163 and 116; Squad Co. 288; Rescue 4 and Battalions 49 and 46-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 114th Precinct and EMS units. Two hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
