One child was saved by firefighters responding to a fire at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Halsey Street and Wilson Avenue in Bushwick. The baby and one firefighter were both taken to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center with minor smoke inhalation injuries. FDNY Engine companies 277, 233 and 218 and Squad Co. 252 were among those called to the scene, along with Ladder companies 112, 124 and 120, Battalions 37 and 28, emergency services personnel and members of the 83rd Precinct.
