KEW GARDENS HILLS — An unidentified male was struck and killed by a car last week as he tried to cross the Grand Central Turnpike in Kew Gardens Hills, police said.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was attempting to cross the parkway at Exit 15 just before 11 p.m. Aug. 24 when he was struck by a 2010 Audi sedan heading westbound, police said.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced the victim dead when they arrived on the scene, the cops said.
There was no criminality suspected and the investigation was ongoing, cops said.
