Ridgewood Robber Abused Victim
Law enforcement agents released last Thursday, Aug. 16, the mugshot of a man wanted for allegedly robbing and sexually assaulting a woman on a Ridgewood street last month in the hope that someone may provide information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
He was identified as 40-year-old Joshua Robles (shown at right), who is accused of attacking a 20-year-old woman along an undisclosed section of Greene Avenue on the evening of July 29. As of press time, he remains at large.
According to police, the incident took place at around 11:40 p.m., when Robles allegedly approached the victim from behind.
Displaying a firearm, authorities said, the suspect allegedly sexually abused the woman, then took an undisclosed amount of property from her. Robles reportedly fled from the scene in an unknown direction.
The incident was later reported to the 104th Precinct. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Robles is described by the NYPD as standing 5’9″-tall and weighing 155 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.
The 104th Precinct Detective Squad and the NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad are conducting the investigation, police said.
