Edward Nick

EDWARD NICK of Glendale died on Monday, September 3, at the age of 76. A native of Gottschee, Yugoslavia, he was the beloved husband of Irma (nee Poje), devoted father of Robert J. and Virginia Nick and Michael W. and Heidi Nick and dear brother of William Nick and the late Herbert Nick and his wife, Barbara. He is also survived by grandchildren Erika, Sarah, Alexander and Abigail and nieces Theresa Brekin and Kathleen McNeill. A wake will be held today, Thursday, September 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, September 7, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pancras Church, Glendale, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village.
