Garage Fire Near Train Line In R’wood

Firefighters rushed to put out a one-alarm fire at a Ridgewood garage below the elevated M line on Monday afternoon, Sept. 10, it was reported. According to FDNY sources, the blaze ignited at around 3:30 p.m. at the garage located in the vicinity of Woodbine Street and Woodward Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 271, 277, 291 and 286; Ladder companies 112, 140 and 135; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 4 and Battalions 28 and 37- under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries.
