GEORGE MOAKLEY of Phoenix, Ariz. died on Monday, August 27, at the age of 83. George lived most of his life in New York City until moving to Phoenix in 2005. George is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia A. Moakley. He is also survived by twin daughters Laura and Linda, son George, and daughter Patricia. Also mourning his loss are 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In New York, he took over the family business (Charles Knight Poles), offering flag and clothes poles to customers primarily in Queens and Brooklyn. George was a film buff, a Yankees fan, and an avid card player, but his greatest joy was the pride he took in his children and grandchildren.
