Committed to always remembering the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Middle Village residents offered prayers for them during Tuesday’s candlelight vigil at Juniper Valley Park, as shown in top photo. In the shadow of the World War I monument, Woodside neighbors marked the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with a ceremony last Tuesday at Doughboy Playground, as shown in the center photo. At left are relatives of a victim of the 9/11 attacks placing a rose at the foot of the Glendale 9/11 monument during Sunday’s vigil, which honored victims from Ridgewood, Glendale, Middle Village and Woodhaven.
