Fest Raises Funds For Comm. Ctr.
The shops, restaurants and bars of Williamsburg and Greenpoint will gather together by the Brooklyn waterfront for the third annual Taste Williamsburg Greenpoint this Sunday, Sept. 9.
Over 40 restaurants, food retailers, wineries and breweries in Williamsburg and Greenpoint will be participating in the event at 5 North 11th Street, off Kent Avenue from 1 to 5 p.m. Attendees will also be treated to live music.
Proceeds from the tasting will go toward the creation of Northside Town Hall, a proposed community arts and advocacy center at the former home of Engine Company 212 at 134 Wythe Ave. in Williamsburg. The center will become the permanent home for two local nonprofit groups, Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and the People’s Firehouse.
