Police Officers Yuseff Hamm, Raiman DaSilva and Jacinta Femenias (shown second to fourth from left) were honored as Cops of the Month by the 106th Precinct at the Wednesday, Oct. 10 106th Precinct Community Council meeting at the precinct’s Ozone Park stationhouse. The officers received awards (sponsored by the Times Newsweekly) after thwarting a burglary attempt with the help of a resident who called 911 after seeing suspicious activity. Pascale noted that Officers Hamm and DaSilva engaged in hand-to-hand combat with one of the suspects, while Officer Femenias investigated the incident using surveillance camera footage. In the photo, they are flanked by Thomas Dardani, president of the 106th Precinct Community Council, and Deputy Inspector Thomas Pascale, the precinct’s commanding officer.
