A voluntarily recall of Sunland almond butter and peanut butter has now been expanded to include its cashew butter, tahini and roasted blanched peanut products.
The recalled food items were all manufactured between May 1 and September 24, 2012, and some were sold at large retailers, including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and Target.
In addition to using the Sunland label, the products were also sold under the names Archer Farms, Earth Balance, Naturally More, Harry & David and many others.
After 29 people in 18 states, including New York, reported salmonella illnesses between June 11 and September 2, 2012, Sunland pulled the products from the shelves.
