R’wood School Tips Hat to Books

Students and teachers at P.S. 81 celebrated their love of books during their annual “Hats Off to Reading” Day Parade around their Ridgewood school last week. As shown, the youngsters created hats themed for a book read during class and wore them during their march. Clifford the Big Red Dog was well represented at the parade by first-graders taught by Jennifer Villalta (top photo) and Sandra Austern (middle photo). Shown in the bottom photo are second-graders from teacher Yascha Bilan-Gering’s class.
