No Weekend 7 Trains Bet. Qns., Manhattan

Service on the 7 line between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square- 42nd Street is scheduled to be suspended this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday night, Oct. 5, until 5 a.m. Monday morning, Oct. 8.

During this period, 7 trains will operate between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street. It was noted that Q trains will be extended to the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard station on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N or Q trains at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E train at Roosevelt Avenue or Times Square- 42nd Street.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service to 7 train stations in Long Island City between the Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard- Jackson Avenue stations. These buses will also stop at Queens Plaza for connections to the E and R trains.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;

– Queens Plaza-on Jackson Avenue at Queens Plaza South;

– Court Square-23rd Street-on 44th Drive at 23rd Street (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or on 23rd Street at 44th Drive (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue-on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Weekend J Trains Closed ThisWeekend

J train service is scheduled to be suspended between Crescent Street and Jamaica Center this weekend from 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, until 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. This service change will be in effect the following weekend, Oct. 13-14.

During these periods, J trains will continue to operate between Crescent Street and Chambers Street in Manhattan.

Shuttle buses will provide alternate service to the J train between Crescent Street and 121st Street and will connect to the Jamaica-VanWyck station for E train service to Jamaica Center.

The shuttle buses will stop at J train stations as follows:

– Crescent Street-on Fulton Street at Crescent Street;

– Cypress Hills-at the B13 bus stop on Jamaica Avenue at Hemlock Street (to Jamaica-Van Wyck) or on Crescent Street at Jamaica Avenue (to Crescent Street station);

– 75th Street-Elderts Lane-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 75th Street (to Jamaica-VanWyck) or Dexter Court (to Crescent Street);

– 85th Street-Forest Parkway-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 85th Street (to Jamaica-VanWyck) or at 86th Street (to Crescent Street);

– Woodhaven Boulevard-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at Woodhaven Boulevard;

– 104th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 104th Street;

– 111th Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 111th Street;

– 121st Street-at Q56 bus stops on Jamaica Avenue at 121st Street; and

– Jamaica-Van Wyck-on the Van Wyck Expressway service road at 89th Avenue.

Station Project Shuts Weekend M Shuttle

Weekend M train shuttle service between Metropolitan Avenue-Middle Village and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway is scheduled to be suspended this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, due to construction work related to the MTA station renewal project. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service and make all stops.

Riders can transfer between the shuttle bus and the L train at Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues and the J train at Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.

The shuttle buses will stop at the M train stations as follows:

– Metropolitan Avenue-at the Q54 bus stop onMetropolitanAvenue at Rentar Plaza;

– Fresh Pond Road-at the B20 bus stop on Putnam Avenue at Fresh Pond Road (to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Fresh Pond Road at Putnam Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

– Forest Avenue-at the B20 bus stop on Putnam Avenue at Fairview Avenue (to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Fairview Avenue at Putnam Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

– Seneca Avenue-at B38 bus stops on Seneca Avenue at Palmetto Street;

– Myrtle-WyckoffAvenues-at the B13 bus stop on Gates Avenue at Wyckoff Avenue (to Myrtle Avenue- Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Palmetto Street and MyrtleAvenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

– KnickerbockerAvenue (closed at all times through 2013)-at B54 bus stops on Myrtle Avenue at Knickerbocker Avenue;

– Central Avenue-on Myrtle Avenue at Cedar Street (to Myrtle Avenue Broadway) or the B54 bus stop on Myrtle Avenue at DeKalb Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue); and

– Myrtle Avenue-Broadway-at the B46 bus stop on Broadway at Myrtle Avenue.

Additional Subway Changes

The MTAhas scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, Oct. 3. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

Stations Skipped On

7 Line On Weekdays

Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 69th Street, 52nd Street, 46th Street, 40th Street and 33rd Street stations on Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

Overnight Express On E Line In Queens

Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run express service between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue late nights on Friday, Oct. 5, from 12:30 until 5 a.m.

For service to the 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard and 65th Street stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train.

Additionally, Manhattan-bound E trains will run express service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queens Plaza late nights on Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 12:01 until 5 a.m.

For service to the 65th Street, Northern Boulevard, 46th Street, Steinway Street and 36th Street stations, take the E train to Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Centerbound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattanbound E train.

Knick. Ave M Stop Closed For Repairs

The KnickerbockerAvenue station on the M line is closed at all times until early 2013 as the MTA conducts repairs.

Riders are advised to use the nearby Central Avenue and Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues stations as alternates. The B54 bus provides connecting service between Knickerbocker Avenue and the two stations.

During overnight hours, shuttle buses will provide additional service along the B54 route between Myrtle- WyckoffAvenues andMyrtleAvenue- Broadway, stopping at the Knickerbocker Avenue and Central Avenue stations.
